Hungry

Been ill for 2 days which has severely weakened me, since on top of everything else I havent had any food as I cant keep it down. It's difficult not being near close friends or family when you are this sick. The best thing is to keep occupied and not forget to take care of yourself, even if no one is helping you. Luckily I have a really good organic supermarket nearby, and Netflix on demand. Hopefully today will be a little better, at least I'm still hungry. May make a quinoa salad with a smoothie on the side!

Love this calendar from The Wild Unknown. Anything thats functional but also can be displayed as art is a bonus! (via)

Modern Gingerbread Houses

I think I've only made a gingerbread house once in my life, and now I think I've found a reason to make one once again! Hometta has a free downloadable plan available, and here are some other delicious favorites from flickr below...

William Pryor's Paris

Mid century Paris seemed like such a magical period, and the 60s being a favorite specifically. William Pryor spent time there and documented it with a book and photos. It also seems like they eventually want to make a film which would be amazing to be in!

Boulevard Leopold

I almost feel like I would develop a trip JUST so I could stay at Boulevard Leopold B&B in Antwerp. Actually, never mind staying there..I'd probably just want to live there.

T(ea) Birds

Considering how much tea I consume on a daily basis (hint: alot!) I'd probably drink twice as much if the bags looked like this prototype by Nathalia Ponomareva.

Chilly Sanctuary

The freakish warm weather seems like it's gone away which has left everything a bit chilly. I am dreaming of small cottages & cozy afternoons. They look a little something like this! (images via verhext, flickr)

Selgas Offices

I'd probably be alot more productive at work if the offices looked like this. Gorgeous and blended into the surroundings, the Selgas Cano architecture firm office in Madrid designed by Iwaan Bano. (via 3coffeesaday)

Spooky Clips

Not sure what the weekend has in store for me. Usually every year is one big mess of parties and putting too much effort into costumes so this year I'm feeling more inclined to eat some pumpkin soup and watch scary movies! Below is a clip from Suspiria, Part 1 of one of my fave camp horror films, Fearless Vampire Killers, and a lovely clip of France Gall performing Frankenstein (with Dutronc!) What are your plans?

Wild Things Fort Project

As a kid I used to throw my pink blanket that had puppies all over it, on top of our living room table and climb under it and sleep. Good to know the fort tradition keeps alive with this Where The Wild Things Are contest from WeLoveYouSo! Some of my favorites:

Eleanor Wood

I love a good collage, and in particular I love collages that have a certain aesthetic reminding me of 60's electronic record covers. I don't know if British artist Eleanor Wood was going for that, but i love her amazing pieces anyway!
