The London Zoo just re-opened what seems to be an amazing Victorian exotic birdhouse. Check out the slideshow here.

On the flipside, Threatened songbirds in Spain are losing their voice.

I understand somewhat what these skylarks may be going through, seeing as my voice has also been giving out the past few days as I've been with a fever which yesterday reached 103. Yikes. Slowly getting better though. Luckily, lots of bad movies (hello Primeval) and good music have been getting me through.

Ayumi Horie etc

Ayumi Horie's work reminds me of the ceramic equivalent of a blanket. All of her pieces are handmade in her Hudson Valley NY studio. I can't single out one thing I love more than the other, but the whale & bird pieces are frontrunner's! Photo below is of her amazing Hudson Valley studio.


Spring gave Chicago a tiny taste of things to come this week, but now it's gotten chilly again. I've still been super busy and now on top of all the work-related things, I now have to find a new apartment in a MONTH due to roommates moving! This will definitely put a damper on the amount of posts in the next month or so.

E-Zine

Kind of late news BUT...Erin over at Design for Mankind has outdone herself again with a great new E-Zine she released last week, which I was thrilled to be a part of. I loved everyone's thoughts on inspiration, and was inspired myself! Take a peek over at her site.
