I love the idea of a restaurant made to feel like someone's home, like Derriere in Paris. There looks like so much to explore, complete with different rooms...and table tennis! The NYTimes recently did a review on it as well with more great photos.

Coup-land

After a restful and ponderous couple of weeks, I've become so excited about what's sure to be challenging year ahead of me, but it's going to be filled with new experiences. Just like the last but better. After a break though it's always tough to get back into the swing of things, so let's get started with 2010!

I've always been curious into the homes of authors, and I recently found these pics of Douglas Coupland's place in Vancouver. I read All Families Are Psychotic YEARS ago and I didnt take to it that much; now I think Coupland's design sense and mine have more in common! Read more here.

Hungry

Been ill for 2 days which has severely weakened me, since on top of everything else I havent had any food as I cant keep it down. It's difficult not being near close friends or family when you are this sick. The best thing is to keep occupied and not forget to take care of yourself, even if no one is helping you. Luckily I have a really good organic supermarket nearby, and Netflix on demand. Hopefully today will be a little better, at least I'm still hungry. May make a quinoa salad with a smoothie on the side!
